Abstract

Projects comprise many sources of risks that are as well due to management methods, project management, project team organization, project technical aspects, and environment. This context is imposed on the project team which put up with it and cannot modify it. The team can only know its position compared to the context, which is more or less favorable to the project success, however it is managed therafter. The head of project is responsible for the project success. His goal is to react to the best way the objectives set by the company for the project, with the allocated ressources. To do that, he has a certain room to manoeuvre in an imposed context. The objective of our research is to guide heads of projects in order to optimize the use of this room to manoeuvre, more precisely to conceive fasten, better and less expensive. Project risks management methods have been developed to meet this need. The success of these methods still remains very modest and their perenniality is fragile. To answer this problem, we present in this report an implementation model of a project risks management method made up of three parameters: creation of a new projects teams support profession: Project Riskmanager, control of the coherence of the risks analysis methods in the whole project risks management process, and capitalization of experience through a software support. This model was elaborated and validated by several experiments on two projects of new products design within the Saint Gobain company.
